We have a new special dish today: 100% concentrated MADs Mikkelsen + great portion of insanity + FBI + interesting maniacs, and all of this served with sause of blood and savagery. Mmm, this is absolutely delicious!
Ok, enough about meal, let’s focus on the show more precisely. This TV Series is a modern version of the Hannibal’s story, which tells about the events taking place before the incidents described in the book “Red Dragon”. Dr. Hannibal Lecter played by Mads Mikkelsen and special agent Will Graham (Edward Norton in Red Dragon 2002) by Hugh Dancy. The events of this TV Series do not repeat the book and makes this story completly different, but very familiar. Hannibal still helps FBI as an independent expert, but most of the time we are watching something new.
I see deers
So, what in this show can be interesting for you, even if you didn’t watched Hannibal movies? Firstly, it’s disturbingly violent and harsh sometimes. You probably will lose appetite after some scenes, especially after mushrooms. Secondly – variety of craziness and freaky maniacs (including charming Hannibal) will not make you bored. Thirdly – Will Graham by Hugh Dancy it is a very strong and well performed character, who’s certainly being the second big thing in this TV Show, right after Lecter. It’s really interesting to watch, how protagonist losing his mind episode by episode. And the last – evil here is winning!
Briefly about good and bad of the show:
+ Great cast including Mads Mikkelsen and Laurence Fishburne.
+ Savage and sometimes extremly crazy content.
+ The whole psycho stuff with nightmares and other visions.
+ DEERS, DEERS, MORE DEERS!
– Some logical problems with details and characters behaviour.
– Here are too many maniacs in one city.
Verdict: Hannibal is a very solid and strongly developed show which brings rare and sometimes brilliant content from world of darkness.
